About the Role
The Sales Development Lead will be the foundational force driving top-of-funnel pipeline generation. This role is a high-impact position that balances hands-on prospecting with strategic implementation. You will not only execute the day-to-day sales development activities but will also be responsible for building, refining, and scaling the entire SDR process, messaging, and tech stack from the ground up.
Reporting to the CEO/Director of Client Success, this is a unique opportunity for an experienced, self-directed builder to set the standard for engagement and play a critical part in the company’s growth trajectory.
What You’ll Do
- Proactively identify and engage high-potential prospects through outbound strategies.
- Responsible for both hands-on execution of introductory calls and defining the optimal process for these conversations.
- Respond to and qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns, content downloads, webinars, and direct website inquiries.
- Research prospects and craft thoughtful, customized messaging that resonates with key buyer personas.
- Manage and maintain lead data organization in our CRM (e.g., HubSpot).
- Track KPIs including meetings booked, pipeline sourced, and conversion rates.
- Create & consistently maintain outreach sequences to target new & re-engage past leads; test and iterate messaging, frequency, etc and seek new prospects to refresh
- Participate in client acquisition activities with existing & new prospects, i.e. webinars, various marketing events/conferences & networking events
- Collaborate with onboarding & retention teams with strong communication & organization skills to ensure a smooth transition from discovery to onboarding & account management
Who You Are
- 2–3 years of experience in a sales or lead generation role (SDR/BDR/AE).
- Proven success generating qualified pipeline in [similar verticals, e.g., SaaS, digital marketing services, fitness franchising, etc.].
- A builder at heart. You’ve helped launch or significantly shape sales development programs before.
- Highly proactive and self-directed; you don’t need hand-holding and can execute without extensive onboarding or structure.
- Comfortable creating new processes, testing outreach strategies, and iterating based on performance data.
- Ability to move quickly, prioritize ruthlessly, and work in a fast-moving environment.
- Comfortable with both cold outreach and responding to warm leads.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven.
- Familiar with CRM and sales engagement tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, Apollo, etc.).
- Curious and coachable, with a growth mindset.

- Digital marketing agency background highly preferred
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience with HubSpot CRM systems and project management tools
